While my guitar gently weeps - piano version

It seems that Paul McCartney wasn’t that interested in ‘While My Guitar Gently’
Weeps until Eric Clapton was invited to the recording session and then he came up with the iconic piano intro. This version is just an imagining of how the song would have been if the piano continued as the only instrument.

Oh my! This is so cool and a bit theatrical! Really grabs the ears and pulls you into the story.

far more compelling than the lightwight beatles recording. i always considerd geirge the most original writer of the beatles. paul was a dated music hall comic and john a dylanite. but george wasnt weighted down with infulences, and wrote what i consider the best of the beatles songs. and you get into some of the facets that make george such a fasciinating writer.

Fascinating idea, to keep this song on piano. It sounds great! Terrific arrangement.

Fantastic piano playing and arrangement.

A song with guitar in its title being played on the piano should make as much sense as hearing Manic Monday on a Thursday but it probably just means that the title of the song is actually the weakest part.

Although I’m a Paul girl at heart, I agree with Bill that George’s writing had a certain edge with originality.

What a wonderful version - you make this song your own! Piano and vocal are both lovely. Your jazzy piano solo is awesome.
For years, I shied away from trying Beatles covers because they seemed too complicated. Ovet the last few years, I’ve worked up many acoustic guitar covers but not tried any on piano.

Whoa! That was fantastic! This sounds amazing on piano and I love your vocals. You play really well!

You know, this is a great song, but I’m kinda burned out on it from 45 years of listening to it.
But here you’ve breathed new life in to it with the piano.
I’ve always felt sorry for George, poor guy, overshadowed by giants.
Lovely piano work for sure,

Sounds great with just the piano. I always liked George’s songs too.

Superb playing throughout. Your vocal has an Elvis Costello-like quality to it, which is extremely cool. Quality cover!
