Thin Lizzy - Jailbreak

This has been a crazy ear worm for me for a couple of months now so I thought I’d banish it… Probably this just makes it worse.

I don’t usually sing at all, but I decided to sing some songs last Rocktober and it didn’t feel completely awful, so why not. As usual, everything played by me, including MPC pad drums this time completely (though with several passes: kick & snare, hihat & cymbals, toms). This took maybe 18 hours total, but I re-did the bass, and lead vox, because I wasn’t happy. The riot sound effects are from BBC and used here in non-commercial intent.

I have never heard this song before. Awesome guitar playing - love that cool crunchy guitar sound you got. Great drums too! Your vocals sound great - I think you did octave doubles in the chorus - very cool. Your voice sounds really good and you have a nice range. Cool sound effects.

Totally understandable that you had a crazy ear worm from the song. You give it a new spin. Great cover!

I’ve gotten really into Thin Lizzy in the last few years. Great choice for a cover, and you sure do it justice!

Love it. Crazy bass playing…i understand the ear worm. Phil was another great player that died too early. thx for this.

Whoa, so crunchy!
I’m loving your vocals; sort of “conversational”, if you know what I mean.
I take the same talk/sing approach, something I learned from Frank Zappa.
Great headphone mix with the guitar in each ear.
Nice middle bit there with the riot noises.
Super fine rokkin here.

Just for no reason at all, I messed around with this mix, trying to alienate all the sounds… and then it sounds like the 1990s.
