I looked up a couple of guitar tutorials on this and just decided to “brute force it” as I like to say. I was never good at nuance. I’m pretty much a strictly rhythm guitar player.
ou do a terrific job on these covers, geting so close to the original sounds but maintaining your own style and identity. it took me a long tme to warm up to thi sversion of the band as i had been a big fan of the original blues group with peter green. but after some decades, i came to rever them as one of the great bands of the seventies.
You know I don’t think I’ve heard any Peter Greene era Mac. I need to hunt some down. Heard it was a whole different vibe.
it was a complely differnt bnad. green had just quit john mayalls bluesbreakers and been replaced by eric clapton.i saw them in a small club and green tore it up, and for an encore, everyone in the band did an impressive elvis imitation. back in the day i saw a lot of blues bands that became rock superstars…jethro tull was like cream with a charismatic frontman. and i even got to play kazoo with pink floyd on their saucer full of secrets tour, their first in the states. so when these bands went prg or pop, i in my adolescent snobby snottyness, boycotted them. besides, i didnt go to arena shows unless it was someone big like dylan or donovan. allt he other bands, lke the doors, the dead, mc5, paul butterfield, cream, countr, y joe and the fish, the youngbloods, santana, and jefferson airplane, i saw in dance halls.im sorry i missed those bigger groups that played arenas,
I love this song! Wow that is some awesome guitar playing - and now those wonderful stacked vocals. I am really enjoying your cover.
Love the growly vocals - really stands out to me.
