Shimmer by Fuel

Same deal as the Jimmy Eat World cover – I ended up just liking how this sounded by itself on the acoustic guitar. Fun, random fact – this is actually one of my favorite songs. :3

I like your acoustic 1v1g rendition better than the original - of course it takes off with the band; but that’s not just 1v1g. You can see you like the song, of course  lol!, and “feeling it” - always better to feel good too, makes better music maybe.

you are an exceptional rhythm guitar player and you sing the hell out of this song. i think you are a stellar songwriter, and as such you understand the songs of others so well that you can outplay the originals.

I love this song. Hearing lines like “lavender and cream” on the radio was pretty 90’s / 00’s. Ooh nostalgia. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

This song is new to me. Great indie vibe. Excellent vocals and guitar. I will have to check out Fuel - this is a really cool song.

Haha, that is such a good point about the “lavender and cream” line! It’s true that you don’t hear lyrics that anymore – a shame!

Production-wise, loving the vocal and guitar on this recording - tone on both just have this really warm quality. I’m afraid I don’t know the original, but will go check it out. But I’m going to say it feels like you’re making this very much your own. And you can tell it’s a favourite as you’re playing it with such ease and confidence. Nice!!
