And for my Rocktober finale, one more from “Chicago” by the John Kander, Fred Ebb, and Bob Fosse trio. This one is short. As always, my alto (maybe contralto) voice is challenged by those higher notes, so it’s been fun experimenting with pushing through it or going lower.
@sbs I know you said you wouldn’t stick around after October, but I’m sad I didn’t get to hear this one!
@beto Okay, you twisted my arm. Public viewing now - lol! Hope people will realize this is still a zong.
@sbs, thanks for making it public for a little longer! I really enjoyed listening to it — very dreamy and mysterious, and I couldn’t listen to it without starting to dance on my chair!
you always find a way to freshen up these showtunes. and it is always a pleasure to discover new tings in the songs through your interpretations. im already missing your bob fosse numbers from october so i was very excited to hear this one, and it did not disappoint.
Did I miss this when you first posted it? Glad it was still up for me to hear it while I’m on a listening catch up. Your show tunes have been such a fun element of Rocktober and I’m still inspired to try one or two.
Thank you! I hope you do one. Your voice is quite suited for show tunes.
