Reason To Believe (Rod Stewart)

When Bill mentioned this song from his Tim Hardin medley, I didn’t know Tim Hardin, but I recognized it by Rod Stewart. I love that song! It takes me back to a nostalgic look at my much younger days in the Pacific Northwest. I knew I had to give it a try.

is that backing track from a live rod stewart recording? i ask because the band doesnt seem to know the song. you do your best to follow it, but it is off rhythmically and some of th chords are wrong. i like your approach to the song, but if you are using one of rods backing tracks, the studio version would be a lot easier to follow and would harmonize better with your vocals.

Yes. I chose the live concert because it was more fluid. I tried the studio version but thought it was too stiff and boring and the instrumentation was too sharp to my ears. I sang right along with Rod Stewart in the Live version and then used the new Logic stems tool to cut his vocals. Super handy for my version of cover songs.
