Llittle Red Riding Hood (Sam the Sham & the Pharoahs, Amanda Seyfried)

A songwriter, guitarist, and singer, Uncle Ron loved to play this song - or so I heard. I only wish I could have heard him do it. This is in honor of him.

Logic Pro 11 session players on the piano, bass, and drums (directed by Kathy Holmes), Kathy Holmes on the vocals, produced in the Screamie Birds Studios in Screamie Birds-style.

this would be a cool accompaniment for a modern animated version of the childrens’ story. it has the feeling of those creepy hansel and gretal type stories. the sam the sham version was directed at the oversexed adolescent audience. this version has none of that…it is more like a scary campfire tale for children.

Do not know this song…but I like what you have done. I will check out the org. !

The other day I was listening to rock hits of 1966 (year I was born) on Apple and this song came on!
I dig your version a lot - a hypnotic mellow-yet-ominous groove. Soulful, playful vocal, too. Good one!

That’s a great song to cover, well done. That logic pro is really something, amazing stuff!

I thought I didn’t know this song - but I do. Really nice interpretation - taking it kind of male vocal honky-tonk to female singer-songwriter. Well done.

Thank you. I was wondering if it made sense for a female to sing it and then I found the Amanda Seyfried version so I gave it a try.
