Little Red |Corvette by Prince

one of the elements that have been missing from popular music is the origination of new dances, I think Prince was the last of such originators with entire neighborhoods being divided between the dances of Morris Day and those of \Prince from the movie Purple Rain. Little Red Corvette came before the Prince phenomenon really hit big, but it remains one of my favorites, primarily because it can be played as an irish ballad, a teenage country song, or the power pop multi-ethnicity that made hip hop such an essential element in all genres of pop music. for me Prince was the king of the 80s, and I also followed such greats as Nick Cave, Kate Bush. Lou Reed, Elvis Costello, and Paul Simon. Ill get to them later. This Rocktober for me is a journey back into all the songs that made strong impacts on me, which is why I am doing a lot of them. Probably will reach 100 by the end of the month. with all the storms we are having in Florida, I have pleanty of times to whi out these songs.

Love this song, of course. Got chills as soon as I started playing your version. I am the dancing queen - lol! Well done, Bill!

Prince really was an amazing talent, and this song is one of my favorites of his. I really like your version - it totally works. Great vocals too!

You’re doing a great version of this classic. I remember one of the obituaries for Prince being a picture of a 1963 Chevrolet Corvette along with the words “Baby that was much too fast”
