This is one of my favourite songs and I really like your version, Bill.
You have given me a moment of reflection on my own covers, whether song choice or interpretation. I often shy away from songs I know and love because I put too many expectations on myself to be worthy of or the same as the original. It doesn’t stop me from enjoying someone else’s version, I’ve never once listened to a cover and thought ‘oh they didn’t play that A major chord the same as on the record’!
Maybe I shall take more risks in the future.
