This links direct to the BandLab track:
I would never think to put an old original here other than I was asked the other day for a “favorite” track of “theirs” - then, asked “and of mine”?
It was done in 2020, and forgotten - remained “unpublished” and could not find it : ) lol! I then found it on BandLab - but the “mastering” there compressed sibilance-distortion into it; I never got back to it until today.
Back then, I worked pretty fast, and with Audacity, dry tracks. This one had backing vocals from Anaezia from Nepal (the one stated this was a favorite) - however, there was a file issue; and, as fast as we moved back then : ) that was that. The other backing, that adds allot imo and may be hard to distinguish from my guitar playing (guitar, bass, anything else you may hear is “me”) - is Cody from Oklahoma’s Shovel - Diddley Bo. (Diddley bow - Wikipedia). He’d run that (a single string, slide instrument), through a virtual pedal orchestration in real time (could be “Pedals”), and that, would be the track.
Anyway - I figured someone may get a kick out of it. I tend to forget about tracks; then, someone says “favorite” and it’s five years old to boot and never finished and one of my, our “fast” bounce tracks and, well - it caught my interest when had time this afternoon.
- It may not be for most folks taste; I, we, experimented a good bit; however, this is one of the more “normal” ones, how to say that. One “thing” that was a challenge, especially if did not take good notes was - how to distinguish my playing from Cody’s - a good thing; but just always seemed to just happen, EQ, Levels, etc. Our stuff I think got confused, especially when he’d use my stuff and since none of this was “done for any reason” - was not diligent with liner notes with whom did what : ) Anyway, it’s just a thing I rarely have happen with other musicians and so mention it - has meaning to “me”. : ) His playing would make me play stuff I would not have otherwise necessarily thought to play - a great thing when it happens!
