Oh, thank you - I always appreciate your input, comments.
Yes, BandLab is a place to figure out. It used to be even more challenging if can imagine that. I got pulled over by a friend and then, only remained in the “group” work, or now “band” work spaces. The “outside” world of bandlab we were not sure just “how public” it was. As it is now, looking back, it’s humorous - but we gaged it by “other” forums and felt to be cautious was best.
- Turns out, now - it’s likely one of the friendliest places I’ve ever been. And while it’s had it’s “pop up” issues - gets resolved, but always very very calmly, so interesting to watch. For example : ) lol! - there was a trend where some young ladies were seeking “Dates”, and etc. So, she had a target audience. I responded to her : ) hahhh… I’d love to teach you guitar and otherwise “this all here”, recording, song writing. She responded she’d give it a try, however, (as they do there), gave her a chance but in like 5 days or so - was removed. I figured “conversion” might be a good way to go since - what might a person with her experience have to write about. And, I was not “hiding” who, what I am and she was fine with it!
- Chalk one up for giving folks a shot, then “banning” them. You eliminate the problem permanently, if convert them to musicians! It’s a great “conversion” goal - among others : ) hahhh…
Anyway, I digress…
So, it’s a very obscure tab, text they should make bold or color it read somehow.
So, all tracks show up under ones profile or “feed”. If one clicks on the Track Name - it jumps to a Track Only page on it’s own, no other “stuff” - like the link here should do.
Then, under the track, you see small type which is the/my/your description. And under that two left “buttons”. [ Comments ] [ Lyrics ] but in unbolded slightly larger text. Some places it may show up as [ Lyrics/Notes ] like in the DAW itself too - just as hard to find stuff too!
- Oh, so just now (since not always flagged to me, you, anyone, users : ) ) I see your comment there, hahhh… just look up page about a 2 inches and click the work “Lyrics”. You’d get Liner Notes and et alia.
- On any of your tracks (try for fun? if have time) - click “Studio” and the HTML DAW comes up. Just mess with it. And don’t worry if click “Publish”… one interesting thing is, one can’t, or it’s a digging process, — one can’t really delete anything, but rather - make it private. I think you can, but it’s a “timed” process, or select and then in like (just saying) 30 days it’s gone.
- When this was first made it was really just all experimental and for songwriters and deletion would have been a regret filled process for “moderators/admins” - so just took it away, then enabled a hard process.
- “We”, me and the fellow that dragged me over there : ) hahhh… suspected it was a test bed for, like, “Cakewalk” or etc. features and possibly was mining lots of data on folks like us. Eh, so what? They only follow general practices “law” and their own country, is it Singapore, Malaysia … forgot now. Many of those South Central Asian countries are crazy for music and instruments - unlike I’ve even seen anywhere else. They do a great job imo. : )
So, rather than past the Lyrics here, let me know if you find that button : ) - I’d be glad to post them anyway. But, as much as I write : ) eh, maybe find that first.
- I’m a big fan of Lyrics and with Chords over the Word Changes. However the Format there does not hold or align. I don’t bother adjusting that since, anyone I’d work with may not even need the Chord Names written out.
- I do that for me since forget the melody (to many songs…) so I write, like, G g, or A e meaning G major sing the g-note in the triad as melody note, or e-note in the A (ace) triad. G is gbd. And, often I don’t distinguish the “accidentals” the sharp or flat like in the D major chord (d, f#, a) - that little “Triangle” on the 3-strings - learn those notes and move ahead more quickly in your studies. I get to quick and write d, f, a - but most that know me, know that.
- Or, even more on “me”, my leadsheet short hand… so, B b is not B flat. But “B flat” is : ) hahhhh… B b meaning B major sing b-note or “root” note.
I just can’t help but turn something into a “lesson” - apologies for being TLTR - just that OCD that makes me, me : ) lol!
I’ll leave a short note there for you, so you can see if get “flagged” - make sure that works for you. I may not hit your browser as “pushed out”, but when there on BandLab will see a red number top right.
Happy Christ’s-mass ! to you!
