Empty Hearted Town by Warren Zevon

In 2002. Bob Dylan performed three songs that I thought were new songs/ Turned out they were all written by Warren Zevon, someone I had never listened to since I disliked his hit song Were wolves of London. I learned those three songs and played them to death, but it wasnt until this year that I really got into his catalog. This is one of my new favorites.

Well, I started on my homework of listening to some more Warren Zevon by listening to this cover you made. Sounds great to me – I do really like the lyrical construction a lot. Sensitively performed, as well. Thanks!

@newukenewyork thanks for listening and for the comment. It is such a perfectly constructed song and the depths of the lyrics sneak up on you. such honest thoughts so uniquely expressed. hope you listen to more of his songs. i covered two others this rocktober, hasten down the wind and accidentally like a martyr. another of my favorites is carmelita,
