I did a short of this song with the original backing track by Denise Dwyer from the new St. John Paul II Catholic Church in Henderson, Nevada (Las Vegas), but I couldn’t get the song out of my head so I decided to do my version, tweaking lyrics, melody, and arrangement to fit my style.
i dont know the original song, but this is a fantastic track. you capture the cry of the lost soul struggling for redemption so well. it doesnt have any of the smug element that ruins so much of modern christian music. it rather has the mortal prayerfullness of a psalm.
Very nice. I’ve also never heard of this song. I’m sad that there have been so many flash floods this week to make the chorus extra impactful.
