And I Love Her by the Beatles

As a Beatles theme is developing here, the idea occurred to me to go back 18 years to the time when Toni Marcus (violin) and I conceived the show “Beatleissimo” and never followed through with it. But along the way, we rehearsed several arrangements of Beatle songs and always included one or two of them in our sets. I like this artifact enough to stretch the definition of Rocktober to include it here. Talia is a fantastic musician who has played with everyone from Jack Benny and Ornette Coleman to Van Morrison and the whirling Dervishes in Turkey. She has also done a lot of film work including the violin solos for the film An Officer and a Gentleman. We played together for three years, voth as a duo and with a band, and i miss her and her music,

Fantastic interpretation of this song. Took me a while to remember that the original has that guitar riff but this doesn’t need it, the arrangement and in particular the violin takes it somewhere completely new. And the vocals are superb

Great story! One of my favorite early Beatles songs and that violin is fantastic. Never would have thought to add that and I love to come up with new arrangements. Gorgeous! Reminds me of this awesome violinist that used to play outside the Grand Californian at the Disneyland Resort. Really elevated theme park culture.

Haunting and beautiful. Great to listen to. Excellent violin particularly around 2.10.
So creative.

Really cool stuff – out of the box yet somehow reverent with respect to the original. I love the violin!

Fantastic cover, Bill! I listened a couple weeks ago but forgot to comment, came back to say this is an amazing take, I love how you made it yours!

Thanks Beto. Your comments always cheer me up.
