ABC - the Jackson 5 acoustic simplified 1st pass 1 take

This generic BandLab link goes direct to the track on BandLab:

So, yet another 1st pass, 1 take, really quick record while “writing” this. Actually, I didn’t write down anything, just sort of winged tacitly within tabs-ultimate-guitar.

Used the central chords that seemed to be indicated. GCGCDC However, transposed D and went DGDGAG. I never realized it was mostly a two chord track within all the “stage craft” and orchestration, yeehaw : )

Actually, in my life, I’ve never read the lyrics, and listened to it on 1960’s evening TV like most I guess - the hook and all the orchestration.

Possibly noteworthy:
However, the lyrics are kind of hilarious, if not a little disturbing… Well, it’s amazing the idiomatic language changes that occur over decades of time, but, “teachers gonna teach you about love…”, etc., eh, it could’a been phrased differently if even was the 60’s/70’s with “little” MJ singing it! But it was a “corporate” song/production, (The Corporation), a Motown spin-off writers group it seems (like what happened with “Hair-bands”, corporate-rock, and Disco : ) omg.

Impressive one take interpretation

Wow, well thank you.

And very glad you get it… I am not doing my “favorites” - my agenda (if read any of my comments, not that anyone should! : ) ) - it evolved to be, “can this be acoustic simplified” ? and etc.

I have to say, I am getting allot out of it and apologize if makes not sense to some lol!, but, I been this way a long time : ) senseless…

I don’t have any students presently but, think, wow, when I was a kid and if challenged to do “this”, vs learn some piano for guitar music book stuff, I’d’ve been farther ahead faster - just a stray thought on that. (Not much of a market in my area for “teaching” music.)

Anyway, thank you for the feedback, affirmation.

We all should do our fav songs. Well done for a one take effort.

Thank you for the comment-feedback.

What happened was I looked to identify tracks for “acoustic simplification”, and may have never heard previously or had been a while. So, thank you!
