Heard this on “Nashville” and realized it was done by George Strait in 1987. Was a big country fan in the late 80s/early 90s when it was soooo good! I edited the lyrics appropriately.
Lyrics
A showman’s life is a smokey bar
And the fevered chase of a tiny star
It’s a hotel room, being nobody’s wife
From what I’ve seen of a showman’s life
Nobody told me about this part
They told me all about the handsome guys
And the wine and the money
