although i dont think this arrangment is the best approach to the song, you certainly hold up your end. i cant hlp but hear the jazz arrangement as parady, maybe because i listen to too much frank zappa…but i sure do like the way you handke the surprise twists of the melody.
When I heard Karen Souza sing this Jazz version, I immediately fell in love with it but being unfamiliar with the song, I did think it was odd to hear a woman sing those words since they would more likely be sung by a man. It was very odd to sing them myself - lol!
